When it comes to gaming laptops, what comes to everyone’s mind? Flamboyant RGB lighting, cool color schemes, exaggerated body design, and instantly recognize the difference between it and an ordinary laptop. But in fact, not all gamers like to be so high-profile. It’s for this reason that HP has launched the new Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop, designed for low-profile gamers.
This 14-inch laptop, available in both black and white, is designed to blur the line between gaming and everyday use. That means the color scheme and RGB lighting are more restrained; a few clicks of the RGB lighting switches from colorful to pristine white, and with the RGB lighting turned off, it looks like a regular business laptop that wouldn’t look out of place on a business trip or in a college classroom. The cooling system doesn’t feature an over-the-top design, and the keyboard doesn’t embarrass anyone despite the use of personalized fonts.
In terms of configuration, the Omen Transcend 14 comes with Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 or 4070 graphics, optional Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Ultra 9 185H processors, 16GB or 32GB of RAM, and up to a 2TB solid state drive. With a 14-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2880 x 1800, a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and Wi-Fi 7 support, it’s a proper performance monster.
In terms of battery life, the laptop has a 71Wh battery, which HP claims to get 11.5 hours in MobileMark 25 tests, and its charging port is 140W USB Type-C.
The HP Omen Transcend 14 is currently available for pre-order on HP’s website, starting at $1,499.99
